Dogfish Head IPA

Dogfish Head Craft Brewery
6 Cannery Village Center, Milton, DE 19968

From our 2019 ride:

Thank you to everyone who helped to make our event a HUGE success! Thank you to all of our 2019 riders and sponsors.

We were able to donate $40,000 to the Urban Bike Project of Wilmington, Sussex Cyclists, and other local organizations in Delaware. Check out the Velo Amis Facebook for 2018 event photos.

The Dogfish Head I.P.A. (I Pedal A-Lot) is a bicycling tour of southern Delaware. Rides will start and finish at the Dogfish Head Milton brewery.

About the Ride:
This scenic ride begins and ends at Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, and travels throughout Sussex County, Delaware. The routes are mostly flat and almost entirely on rural roads.  Maps will be published soon. Please be advised that route changes may be made depending on DelDot requirements or local road conditions.

Distances are the:
Slightly Mighty Lo-Cal IPA: approximately 50 kilometers
75 Minute IPA: approximately 75 kilometers
120 Minute IPA: approximately 120 kilometers

This year, know that whatever route you ride, you'll be supporting the creation of the Grove Park Canal Access in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Rehoboth Beach and Lewes community leaders have long envisioned canal access points on the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal, from which boat passengers may safely access both communities' downtown areas. The access will also allow paddlesport enthusiasts (kayaks/SUPs) to enjoy the canal. Riders on the 75 Minute route will enjoy a rest stop at the future site of the dock. Thanks for your support!

The Dogfish Head tasting room will be open after the event. No outside alcohol allowed.

Rider guide as well as final maps & GPS files will be sent to registered riders after pre-registration closes.

Times to know:
Please note: you must depart at the appropriate time for your ride. Do not be late. We have permits and volunteers for specific times and cannot afford to miss them. Thank you for your understanding!

Rules of the Ride:

Follow the rules of the road. NO headphones please. We are riding on many bike paths that are open to the public - slow down - ride single file. The Gordon's Pond trail is part of the 120K and 75K loop and will have a running race as well as our ride.  We want to be invited back! Please be the best Bike Stewards!

Complete rider guide will be emailed to you after online registration closes.

Do not litter. There will be trash receptacles available at rest stops.

This is not a race
. Enjoy the ride with old and new friends.

Unfortunately we are not able to allow “children’s bike trailers” for the ride. We feel that this ride is not appropriate for children in trailers. On the other hand, if you are riding with your child on a pull behind bike where the child is pedaling (similar to a tandem bicycle) this is allowed. We appreciate your understanding. Note that your child will need to be registered (small fee to cover USA Cycling insurance).  Contact us to register a child on a trailer bike.

Are you interested in volunteering? Sign up for something that sounds fun on our BikeReg page. Volunteers get a T-shirt, food/drink ticket, and warm, fuzzy feelings 🙂 Contact Velo Amis via email at if you have any questions.
